Laser Cutting

Ultra-Fine Cuts. Polished Edges. Zero Contact.

When your project demands clean lines, tight tolerances, and a polished finish right off the table, laser cutting delivers. At Silver State Plastics, we use high-speed CO₂ laser systems to cut acrylic and select plastics with pinpoint precision—no blades, no chatter, and no sanding required.

Laser cutting is non-contact and thermally efficient. That means smoother curves, sharper corners, and zero mechanical stress on the material. Whether you’re building display pieces, intricate signage, or high-detail components, we’ll help you get a flawless result.

Our Laser Cutting Process

From upload to polished part—all handled in-house with speed and accuracy.

Step 1: Submit Your Vector File

Send us your design in AI, PDF, EPS, or CDR format. Need help prepping artwork? We can assist with cleanup or adjustments.

Step 2: Review and Quote

We evaluate your file, confirm material suitability, and provide a detailed quote. If your design needs tweaks to optimize for laser processing, we’ll flag it early.

Step 3: Cut with Clarity

We calibrate the beam, secure the material, and run your job with laser-accurate control. You receive clean, flame-polished edges and tight-cut parts—ready for install, assembly, or display.

    What Is Laser Cutting?

Laser cutting uses a high-powered beam to melt, vaporize, or burn through plastic materials—without physically touching them. It’s ideal for creating intricate shapes and tight internal geometry, especially in thinner gauges. Unlike CNC cutting, there’s no bit deflection or surface drag. The result: consistent edge quality, fast turnaround, and production-ready parts with no secondary cleanup.

Important Note: Laser cutting is most effective on cast or extruded acrylic and select plastics designed for laser compatibility. Not all materials (like PVC or HDPE) are safe or suitable for laser processing.

    Laser Cutting Works Best For:

    • Intricate lettering, logos, and display cutouts
    • Retail signage and product branding
    • Decorative acrylic panels and inserts
    • Precision-cut light diffusers and edge-lit displays
    • Custom templates or artistic shapes with fine detail
