Yes, when built correctly. The sign's permanent identification — the room number or function — must be tactile with Grade 2 Braille on the fixed portion. The changeable insert carries information that legitimately changes, like occupant names. What's not compliant is putting the room's identity on a paper insert.
We supply a sized template — Word or Canva, your choice. Type the name, print on plain paper, trim on the marks, slide it in. Most customers keep a stack of blanks by the printer.
If the permanent identity changes — an office becomes an exam room — the tactile header needs to change too. Headers are replaceable without rebuilding the whole sign; that's part of the design.
