ADA Alternative is Rowmark's dedicated compliance line: single-ply (mono) sheet in rich matte colors, designed specifically to meet Americans with Disabilities Act federal regulations for signage. It's the substrate and the appliqué — cut-out tactile letters, shapes, and sign faces — in a palette wide enough to match your building standard.

Single-ply matte colors — the engraved and cut edge is the same color as the face. Screen colors are approximations; samples at the shop.
Available with or without adhesive — add an “8” to the end of the six-digit code to order with adhesive. Cutting 1/32″ tactile letters: 1/4″ round & .020″ tip at 20°–25°.

The regulations cover tactile characters, Braille, contrast, finish, and mounting. The material's job is the non-glare matte finish and clean-cutting tactile elements — ADA Alternative is designed for exactly that.
