Is it solid wood or veneer?
Layered birch veneers — like a fine plywood — stained through on both faces. You get real grain and real wood behavior with better flatness than solid stock.
What does engraving look like on it?
The laser burns through the stain into pale birch, so engraving reads as warm natural wood against the color. Cuts edge in the classic caramel laser-burn tone.
Why are the sheets smaller than your plastic lines?
Rowmark supplies ColorShop in 12×12 and 12×24 formats — sized for laser beds and craft workflows. Need volume? We'll quote by the box.
Both sides really stained?
Yes — two-sided stain means no raw back on hanging pieces, and reversible parts for crafts. Both faces ship masked.
Can you cut my shapes for me?
Yes — send the vectors or describe the project and we'll cut and engrave it here. Same-day quotes as always.
