P99 non glare acrylic cut to size in Sparks, NV. 1/16″, 1/8″ and 1/4″ on the rack, plus 1/4″ museum grade, cut the same day for picture frames, menus and signs.
Non glare acrylic, often called P99 or non glare plexiglass, has a fine matte finish that breaks up reflections. Put it over a print, a photo or a menu and you see the picture instead of the window across the room. It weighs about half what glass does, it is far harder to break, and we cut it to your frame size in Sparks the same day.
A drawing, not a photo. Come hold a piece of each over your print in our Sparks shop before you decide.
| Thickness | Edge on, to scale | Sheet | Grade |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/16″ | 48×96″ | P99 non glare | |
| 1/8″ | 48×96″ | P99 non glare | |
| 1/4″ | 48×96″ | P99 non glare | |
| 1/4″ | 48×96″ | Museum grade clear |
Cut to your size the same day, one frame or a full sheet, to within 1/16″. Most picture frames take 1/16″ or 1/8″; 1/4″ is for large frames, displays and wall panels. The museum grade sheet is on the rack in 1/4″; ask us for its data sheet before you spec it.
Keep it close to the art. The matte face that kills the glare also softens what is behind it. Laid right on the print, or with a thin mat, the picture stays sharp. Pull it back behind a deep mat or spacers and the picture starts to look hazy. For a shadow box or deep frame, clear acrylic or museum grade is the better pick.
Matte face out. The matte side faces the room. Clean it with mild soap and water and a soft cloth, never ammonia glass cleaner or paper towels.
| Sheet | What you see through it | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| P99 non glare | The picture, sharp up close, without the glare | Picture frames, photos, menus, posters, sign faces under bright lights |
| P95 frosted | Light and blur, no picture | Privacy panels, diffusers, sign faces, partitions |
| Clear acrylic | Everything, glare included | Deep frames, shadow boxes, cases, covers |
P95 and P99 sound alike and do opposite jobs. P95 hides what is behind it; P99 shows it without the glare.

Yes. Plexiglas is a brand name for acrylic, and P99 is the common name for non glare acrylic with a matte finish. Ask for non glare, P99 or non glare plexiglass and you get the same sheet.
Most frames take 1/16 or 1/8 of an inch. Measure the glass that is in the frame now, or bring it in and we will match it.
Yes. Give us the inside size of the frame, or the size of the old glass, and we cut it to within 1/16 of an inch, usually the same day.
It is sitting too far from the print. Non glare works best right against the art or over a thin mat. For deep frames and shadow boxes, use clear or museum grade.
P95 is frosted: it hides what is behind it and spreads light. P99 is non glare: it shows what is behind it, without the reflection.
Mild soap and water with a soft cloth. Skip ammonia glass cleaner, solvents and paper towels; they cloud and scratch acrylic.
