Common Questions

Why pick Textures over standard matte sheet?

Handling. Smooth matte shows every fingerprint at eye level; the textured surface scatters light so smudges, grease, and dust don't read. For signs mounted where people touch them, it stays presentable far longer.

Does the texture affect engraving quality?

No — the engraving cuts through to a smooth contrast core, so lettering stays crisp against the textured face. It engraves a touch deeper than smooth lines (.007″–.010″), which we account for.

Is it rated for outdoor signs?

Yes — indoor use, outdoor weatherable, and UV stable. It's a common pick for exterior wayfinding in dusty or high-touch environments.

Can you match my facility's existing signage?

Usually. Bring a photo or an old sign — between 20 combinations and our fabrication options we can typically match or get close enough that no one notices the transition.
