Common Questions
Do I have to buy a full sheet, or can you cut and engrave it for me?
Either way. Buy full sheets at distributor stock, have us cut blanks to your dimensions, or hand us the artwork and we'll laser engrave the finished pieces in-house. Sign shops and trophy shops buy sheets; everyone else usually has us do the work.
What's the difference between 2-ply and 3-ply?
2-ply is a cap color over a core color — engrave the cap and the core shows through. 3-ply adds a third layer so you get cap/core/cap: engrave both faces, or expose a colored edge on cut parts. Most jobs use 2-ply; 3-ply earns its keep on two-sided tags and edge-lit work.
Is LaserMax rated for outdoor signs?
Yes — LaserMax is outdoor weatherable and UV stable. The exception is some metallic foils, which aren't recommended where UV stability matters. Tell us if the piece lives outside and we'll confirm the right finish.
Will the color match what I see on screen?
Close, but never exactly — screens and physical sheet stock don't render color the same way. If the match matters, come see the physical samples or reference the Rowmark item code from the chart above when you request a quote.
Do you keep LaserMax in stock locally?
We stock the popular colors and thicknesses and can get any combination in the chart quickly as a direct Rowmark distributor. Send us the item code or color name and we'll confirm availability with your quote — most quotes come back same day.
